The Process
The process of designing and purchasing a new kitchen should be fun. The first step in ensuring it’s fun, is making the process simple and transparent, from the initial meeting, until the project’s completion. Here’s how we do it:
Initial Design Consultation
Our first meeting with you, usually takes place in our showroom where you will meet our kitchen designers. We will discuss the scope and schedule of your project, how you are using your current space and how you would like to live, work and entertain in your new space. You will review our products, in actual room settings and discuss some preliminary design options. If you have house plans or your room measurements (and they don’t have to be professional or even to-scale), we will be able to begin conceptualising the project, offer basic design possibilities and a budget range.
The Design Process
After a visit to the project site for precise measurements, site evaluation and taking site pictures, we will develop plans, elevations and 3D renderings, offering design possibilities and possible alternative design solutions. Together, we will review the new design ‘walking you through it’ and getting your feedback, comments and design modifications requests. We will then revise the drawings and create final documentation, including written specifications, appliance list and an purchase agreement.
After we present our final conceptual plans, the project’s scope and budget, the next step is to enter into a design retainer agreement, engaging Unifit Kitchens to proceed in the manufacture process. We will formally state our obligations to you, in writing and proceed with the process.
Delivery and Installation
When your order is ready, our team will deliver it to your home and our experienced installers will set to work. The installation process depends on a variety of factory, but usually takes 3 – 5 working days. Once your cabinets have been fitted then our granite installers will come by to take precise measurements to prepare the stone. Once ready, installation of tops and splashbacks usually takes 2 – 4 working days.
